AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON,
PORT ORCHARD MUNICIPAL CODE CHAPTER 2.24 TO ABOLISH THE
PORT ORCHARD -PARKS COMMISSION
Copies of Ordinance No. 1833 are available for review at the oftice of the City Clerk of the City of Port
Orchard. Upon written request a statement of the full text of the Ordinance will be mailed to any
interested person without charge. Thirty days after publication, copies of Ordinance No. 1833 will be
provided at a nominal charge.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, KITSAP
COUNTY, WASHINGTON PORT ORCHARD MUNICIPAL CODE
CHAPTER 2.24 TO ABOLISH THE PORT ORCHARD PARKS
COMMISSION. (Ordinance Nos. 739, 1129 and 1566 5 2 are hereby
repealed in their entirety.)
WHEREAS, in 1965 the City of Port Orchard established a Parks Commission to
advise the Mayor, City Council, and city departments regarding the general supervision and control
of all city parks and recreational facility and programs, and
WHEREAS, currently the City Council Parks and Public Property Committee
addresses and makes recommendations regarding the general supervision and control of all city
parks and recreational facilities and programs, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON DOES
ORDAIN THAT
SECTION 1.
PASSED unanimously by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard on this 24Ih day
of September 2001 and APPROVED by the Mayor and attested by the Clerk in authentication of such
Port Orchard Municipal Code Chapter 2.24 is hereby repealed.
