Mayor Paul D. Powers, Jr. called the Special Meeting of the Council
to order at 7:30 P.M. to consider the proposed City of Port Orchard
1980 Budget.
Present: Council members, Mary R. Wilson, Robert Geiger, Margaret Jane
Miller, Gerald Grosso and Leonard Clark. Councilman Lee Caldwell was
excused as on vacation and Councilman James Wilson absent.
Councilman Geiger, Chairman of the Finance Committee distributed an
itemized list of the proposed allocation of the revenues of the City
and carried the Council and public down the list, line by line,
explaining each item.
Councilman Geiger moved that the proposed City of Port Orchard 1980
budget in the amount of $3,078,682.00 be adopted, seconded and carried
unanimously.
Mayor informed the Council that the Federal Shared Revenue hearing for
the proposed allocation of the anticipated 1980 revenues in the amount
of $90,998.00 will be on the regular meeting of the Council on December
10, 1979.
Mayor adjourned the meeting at 7:50 P.M.
Attached to these minutes and made a part thereof are the list of
Operational, lion -Operational and Construction Projects comprising
the final adopted 1980 budget.
