A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE SIGNING OF THE
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PORT
ORCHARD AND KiTSAP COUNTY FiRE PROTECTION
DISTRICT#?
WHEREAS, the City of Port Orchard has annexed into Kitsap County Fire
Protection District #7 as of January 1, 2002; and
WHEREAS, the City of Port Orchard and Kitsap County Fire Protection District
#7 have agreed to continue their arrangement for fire services and inspections that were
previously contracted; and
WHEREAS, the City of Port Orchard and Kitsap County Fire Protection District
#7 have negotiated the transition of ownership of the City's former fire station located at 200
Tremont Street, with improvements and specified vehicles; and
WHEREAS, the Agreement is entered into pursuant to the authority granted to
the parties by the lnterlocal Cooperation Act, chapter 39.34 RCW, now therefore,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
The Mayor of the City of Port Orchard is authorized to sign the
lnterlocal Agreement between the City of Port Orchard and Kitsap
County Fire Protection District #7 regarding annexation transition
issues.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, APPROVED by the
Mayor and attested by the Clerk in authentication of such passage this 28'" day of May 2002.
