A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON, KITSAP COUNTY, WASHINGTON
REGARDING DEVISED PROPERTY LOCATED AT 4940
BETHEL RD SE.
WHEREAS, Ancilla Tripp, a longtime resident of Port Orchard, devised to the City of Port Orchard
certain real property located at 4940 Bethel Rd SE; and
WHEREAS, it was Ancilla Tripp's desire that the property be retained by the City of Port Orchard
as a park and that such property be left largely in its natural state and that the City of Port Orchard give primary
consideration to the needs of the senior citizen community in planning usage and development of this property; and
WHEREAS, in order to obtain the property free and clear of all liens and encumbrances, it may be
necessary for the City of Port Orchard to pay certain creditor's claims of the Estate of Ancilla Tripp; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that obtaining the property for the purposes desired by Ancilla
Tripp is in the best interests of the City; now, therefore
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD DOES HEREBY RESOLVE THE
FOLLOWING:
The City Council expresses its intention to accept the devised property and to honor Ancilla Tripp's
desire that the property be retained by the City of Port Orchard as a park and that such property be left largely in its
natural state, and that the City of Port Orchard give primary consideration to the needs of the senior citizen
community in planning usage and development of the property.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, SIGNED by the Mayor and attested by the
Clerk in authentication of such passage this 28'h day of October 2002.
