A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON, KITSAP COUNTY, WASHINGTON APPROVING
THE PROVIDE SANITARY SEWER SERVICE TO THE SOUTH
KITSAP INDUSTRIAL AREA
WHEREAS, the property owners within the South Kitsap Industrial Area and Kitsap
County have been working towards establishment of the South Kitsap Industrial Area for many years; and
WHEREAS, the South Kitsap Industrial Area will assist the local economy by providing
hundreds of good, family-wage, non-governmental jobs in industry, manufacturing and
telecommunications; and
WHEREAS, the City of Port Orchard has been working as a partner in planning with
Kitsap County and the property owners in the South Kitsap Industrial Area to provide sanitary sewer
service to this area; and
WHEREAS, the City of Port Orchard and the Port of Bremerton have agreed upon the
terms of the lnterlocal Agreement for sewer service to the South Kitsap Industrial Area; now, therefore
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD DOES HEREBY RESOLVE
THE FOLLOWING:
1. The City of Port Orchard supports the South Kitsap Industrial Area
program to develop an industrial base to the local economy.
2. The City of Port Orchard will provide wastewater service in
accordance with its lnterlocal Agreement with the Port of Bremerton.
3. The City of Port Orchard will work in partnership with Kitsap County
and the local Health District to assure the appropriate level of
treatment and collection of the wastewater generated by the South
Kitsap Industrial Area.
