A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON,
APPROVING AND AGREEING TO SPONSOR KITSAP REGIONAL
LIBRARY FOR MEMBERSHIP IN THE ASSOCIATION OF
WASHINGTON CITIES HEALTH BENEFIT TRUST PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City of Port Orchard is a member of Association of Washington Cities
Hea!th Benefit Trust, and
WHEREAS, the AWC-Health Benefit Trust provides group health care coverage for
employees of member entities at a reasonable cost, and
WHEREAS, the Kitsap Regional Library is the contract agent providing library services
for the citizens of the City of Port Orchard, and
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of Port Orchard, along with Kitsap Regional
Library and all Kitsap County residents, to provide employee health insurance coverage at a reasonable
cost, now therefore
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD DOES HERE RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
The City Council of the City of Port Orchard does approve· and agree to sponsor the
application of Kitsap Regional Library for membership in the AWC Health Benefit Trust Program.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, APPROVED by the Mayor, and
attested by the Clerk in authentication of such passage this 1 o'" day of September 2001.
