A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON
AUTHORIZING ADDITIONAL PAYMENT TO THE BREMERTON-KITSAP
COUNTY HEALTH DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, pursuant to City of Port Orchard Ordinance No. 1660, the Bremerton-Kitsap
County Health District shall provide public health services to the residents of the County and cities in
accordance with RCW 70.05, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to RCW 70.05.130, the Bremerton-Kitsap County Health District shall
be funded by Kitsap County for activities required by RCW 70.05 and 70.46, and
WHEREAS, the City of Port Orchard has indicated that it is willing to pay the Bremerton-
Kitsap County Health District for services render beyond the basic requirements mandated by RCW 70.05,
now therefore,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD DOES HEREBY RESOLVE:
SFr.TION 1 The City of Port Orchard considers the satellite office of the Bremerton-
Kitsap County Health District in the Givens Community Center to be a service that directly benefits the
citizens of the City of Port Orchard and is beyond the basic requirements mandated by RCW 70.05.
SFr.TION ? The City of Port Orchard may budget supplemental funding for the
Bremerton-Kitsap County Health District to compensate for the above services rendered.
