A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON,
FIXING THE DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON A PETITION TO VACATE
A PORTION OF FOREST PARK STREET RIGHT OF WAY, AS
SUBMITIED BY RON AND SHAWN HUTCHINSON, et al.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD DOES HEREBY RESOLVE THAT:
A Public Hearing on a Petition to Vacate a portion of Forest Park Street right-of-way, as
submitted by Ron and Shawn Hutchinson, et al, further described as follows, is hereby fixed for Monday,
August 28,2000 at 7:35P.M. in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 216 Prospect Street, Port Orchard,
Washington.
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: That portion of Forest Park Street, in the City of Port Orchard,
lying east of the southerly extension of the west line of lot "C", of City of Port Orchard Short Plat recorded
under Auditor File No. 9501120168, records of Kitsap County, Washington and lying west from the
northwesterly margin of right-of-way of Sidney Avenue, area encompassing the right-of-way vacation,
9,085 square feet.
The aforesaid property is approximately forty feet (40') on the west side; approximately
two hundred forty-three point seventy six feet long on north side (243. 76), and two hundred ten point fifty
feet (210.50) on south side containing approximately 9,085 square feet.
The Petitioner's are the owners of an interest in real estate abutting on the above-
described area.
The Petitioner's constitute more than two-thirds of the owners of said portions of abutting
property.
WHEREFORE, Petitioner prays that proceedings be had hereon for the Vacation of said
area of said right-of-way in the manner prescribed by RCW 35.79.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, SIGNED by the Mayor and
attested by the Clerk in authentication of such passage this 24th~ay of J 2000.
