A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON,
APPROVING AND AGREEING TO SPONSOR KITSAP SEWER
DISTRICT NO. 5 FOR MEMBERSHIP IN THE ASSOCIATION OF
WASHINGTON CITIES HEALTH BENEFIT TRUST PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City of Port Orchard is a member of Association of Washington Cities
Health Benefit Trust, and
WHEREAS, the AWC-Health Benefit Trust provides group health care coverage for
employees of member entities at a reasonable cost, and
WHEREAS, the City of Port Orchard and Kitsap Sewer District No. 5 jointly own and
operate the Wastewater Treatment Facility, and
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of Port Orchard along with Kitsap Sewer
District No. 5 citizens for Kitsap Sewer District 5 to provide employee health insurance coverage at a
reasonable cost, now therefore
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD DOES HERE RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
The City Council of the City of Port Orchard does approve and agree to sponsor the
application of Kitsap Sewer District No. 5 for membership in the AWC Health Benefit Trust Program.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, APPROVED by the Mayor, and
attested by the Clerk in authentication of such passage this 25th day of September 2000.
