A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON,
RELATING TO PERSONNEL AND COMPENSATION; PROVIDING THAT
OCTOBER 1, 2000 -SEPTEMBER 30, 2001 COMPENSATION FOR
NON-REPRESENTED PERSONNEL SHALL BE DETERMINED
SUBSEQUENT TO THE COMPLETION OF NEGOTIATIONS WITH
UNION-REPRESENTED EMPLOYEES AND MADE RETROACTIVE TO
OCTOBER 1, 2000.
WHEREAS, the City of Port Orchard is currently conducting labor negotiations with unions
that represent some of the City's employees and such negotiations are not likely to be concluded by
September 30, 2000; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to determine compensation for the City's non-
represented employees based, at least in part, upon the negotiations with its unions and make such
compensation of non-represented employees retroactive to October 1, 2000; now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON:
SECTION 1. That compensation and benefits for non-represented employees shall be
determined subsequent to September 30, 2000, after the wages likely to be paid union-represented
employees becomes better known through the negotiation process, and such compensation shall be
retroactive to October 1 , 2000.
