1867 - Resolution - Policy for Use of City FacilitiesRepealed By: Resolution 1880 Date: November 22, 1999 RESOLUTION NO. 1867 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON ESTABLISHING A POLICY FOR USE OF CITY HALL FACILITIES AND FEES ASSOCIATED WITH THE USE THEREOF. WHEREAS, the new city hall has rooms that may be desirable for appropriate use by community organizations, and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to provide guidelines and fees for use of city hall facilities, now, therefore THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Port Orchard City Hall Facilities Use Interim Policy (1) Rooms available for use are the Council Chambers; Council conferencelworkroom; V floor conference room; and the Courtroom. Use of the Courtroom is limited to judicial or quasi-judicial hearing. (2) Facilities are not available for use by commercial, fraternal, political, or religious organizations. (3) No regular, prescheduled, re -occurring reservations for any non -city group or organization will be allowed. (4) All scheduling of use shall be made and confirmed through the City Clerk's office. (5) City Council and City Planning Commission meeting have priority if a scheduling conflict is experienced. In the event of a special Council or Planning Commission meeting, a prescheduled reservation by a non -city organization will be cancelled. Attempts will be made to relocate such prescheduled groups to another area. If relocation is not workable, application fees and deposit will be refunded. (6) City staff will open and secure the facility. No keys will be given to non -city personnel at any time. In the event a room is scheduled for use after normal business hours, a staff member or city official must be present. (7) City audio/visual equipment will only be operated by city authorized personnel. (8) FEES: (Note: All fees are subject to periodic review and revision and all fees may be waived at the discretion of the City Clerk and Mayor). (a) Cleaning/damage deposit $100.00 (i) Refundable if no extra cleaning or maintenance is required after use. Resolution No. 1867 Page 2 of 2 (ii) In the event that extra cleaning or maintenance is required, the amount of deposit forfeited will be determined by the City Clerk based upon time and cost of cleaning or repairing damage. (b) Audio/Visual equipment fee. Fee shall be determined at time of scheduling or use by the City Clerk, based upon availability and cost of equipment operator. (c) Set up fee $20 per hour (minimum one hour) (d) Basic use fee: (i} during normal city business hours No charge when city hall is open to the public. (ii) after normal city business hours $25.00 per hour when city hall is closed to the public requiring the presence of city personnel PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, APPROVED by the Mayor and attested by the Clerk in authentication of such passage this 261h day of July 1999.
