1875 - Resolution - Petition to Vacate City Right-of-WayRESOLUTION NO. 1875 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, FIXING THE DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON A PETITION TO VACATE A PORTION OF PALMER AVENUE, AS SUBMITTED BY WILLIAM J. WILEY, et al, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD DOES HEREBY RESOLVE THAT: A Public Hearing on a Petition to Vacate a portion of Palmer Avenue right-of-way, as submitted by William J. Wiley, et al, further described as follows, is hereby fixed for Monday, December 13, 1999 at 7:35 P.M. in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 216 Prospect Street, Port Orchard, Washington. LEGAL DESCRIPTION: A portion of Palmer Avenue, per plat of Navy Yard Addition to Sidney, Washington in volume 1 of plats, page 87, records of Kitsap County, Washington, described as follows: Commencing at the northwest corner of said plat; thence along the West line of said plat South 02008'24" west 30.00 feet to the southerly margin of Orlando Street, per said plat, and the point of beginning; thence continuing along said west line south 02008'24" west 840.00 feet; thence south 87051'36" east 30.00 feet to the southwest corner of lot 23 of block 6 of said plat; thence north 02008'24" east 840.00 feet to the northwest corner of lot 32 of block 5 of said plat; thence north 87051'36" west 30.00 feet to the point of beginning. The aforesaid property is approximately thirty feet (30) wide and approximately eight hundred and forty (840') long containing approximately 25,200 square feet. The Petitioner is the owner of an interest in real estate abutting on the above -described area. The Petitioner constitutes more than two-thirds of the owners of said portions of abutting property. WHEREFORE, Petitioner prays that proceedings be had hereon for the Vacation of said area of said right-of-way in the manner prescribed by RCW 35.79. PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, IGNED by the Mayor and attested by the Clerk in authentication of such passage this 25th day o tober 1999. LESLIE J.
