1773 - Resolution - Public Hearing on Petition to Vacate ROWRESOLUTION NO. 1773 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON FIXING THE DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON A PETITION TO VACATE A PORTION OF HOWARD AVENUE RIGHT OF WAY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD DOES HEREBY RESOLVE: THAT a Public Hearing on a Petition to Vacate a portion of Howard Avenue Right of Way, further described as follows, is hereby fixed for Monday, July 14, 1997 at 7:30 P.M. in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 216 Prospect Street, Port Orchard, Washington. LEGAL DESCRIPTION: That portion of Howard Avenue as shown on the face of the plat of Sidney Villa Addition to Sidney as per plat recorded in Volume 2 of Plats page 46 records of Kitsap County lying between Block 2 of said Plat and Block 3 of said Plat and bounded on he North by Melcher Street and bounded on the South by an Easterly extension of the south line of Lot 16 Block 2 of said plat except the portion lying within Port Orchard Boulevard The aforesaid property is approximately sixty feet (60') wide and approximately four hundred feet (400') long containing approximately 24,000 square feet. The Petitioner is the owner of an interest in real estate abutting on the above described area. The Petitioner constitutes more than two-thirds of the owners of said portions of abutting property. WHEREFORE, Petitioner prays that proceedings be had hereon for the Vacation of said area of said right-of-way in the manner prescribed by RCW 35.79. PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, SIGNED by the Mayor and attested by the Clerk in authentication of such passage this 9th day of June, 1997. LESLIE J.
