1774 - Resolution - Date of Public Hearing on Petition to Vacate ROWRESOLUTION NO. 1774 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, FIXING THE DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON A PETITION TO VACATE A PORTION OF AN UNNAMED ALLEY LYING SOUTH OF MELCHER AND BETWEEN SHERMAN ON THE WEST AND HOWARD AVENUE ON THE EAST THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD DOES HEREBY RESOLVE: THAT a Public Hearing on a Petition to Vacate a portion of unnamed alley lying south of Melcher and between Sherman on the west and Howard Avenue on the east, further described as follows, is hereby fixed for Monday, July 14, 1997 at 7:30 P.M. in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 216 Prospect Street, Port Orchard, Washington. LEGAL DESCRIPTION: That portion of the alley as shown on the face of the Plat of Sidney Villa Addition to Sidney as per Plat recorded in Volume 2 of Plats Page 46 records of Kitsap County between Lots 1 through 14 Block 1 of said Plat and Lots 1 through 14 Block 2 of said Plat The aforesaid property is approximately sixteen feet (16') wide and approximately three hundred and fifty feet (350') long containing approximately 5,600 square feet. The Petitioner is the owner of an interest in real estate abutting on the above described area. The Petitioner constitutes more than two-thirds of the owners of said portions of abutting property. WHEREFORE, Petitioner prays that proceedings be had hereon for the Vacation of said area of said right-of-way in the manner prescribed by RCW 35.79. PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, SIGNED by the Mayor and attested by the Clerk in authentication of such passage this 9th day of June, 1997. /1 "LESLIE J.
