A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON APPROVING THE RECLASSIFICATION
OF THE ASSISTANT CITY TREASURER POSITION AND
ESTABLISHING STEP SYSTEMS FOR THE POSITIONS
OF CITY PLANNER; BUILDING INSPECTOR;
ASSOCIATE PLANNER; ASSISTANT CITY TREASURER
AND PARKING ENFORCMENT OFFICER
WHERAS, a reevaluation of the duties and essential job functions of the
Assistant Treasurer position confirm the responsibilities have increased significantly, and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to have a step system for
all city employment positions to provide a structured mechanism which department
directors shall use as a guideline when assessing each employee, and
WHEREAS, the positions of City Planner, Building Inspector, Associate
Planner and Parking Enforcement Officer are the only positions currently without an
established step system, now therefore
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD DOES HEREBY RESOLVE:
THAT: Effective January 4, 1998 the City Council of the City of Port Orchard
approves the following schedules (Step System) for the positions of City Planner, Building
Inspector, Associate Planner, Assistant City Treasurer and Parking Enforcement Officer.
These step system schedules are established prior to 1997-1998 annual wage
adjustments, and will be adjusted on the same basis as other non -union represented
positions when approved by the City Council.
Entry on the step schedule is subject to experience level; these steps are not to be
considered automatic:
