A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON
SUPPORTING THE SIDNEY LANDING PROJECT.
WHEREAS, Kitsap Transit has the responsibility to provide mass
transportation for Kitsap County; and
WHEREAS, Kitsap Transit has effectively developed the Sidney Landing
project which not only enhances urban transit, but maximizes the use of both
private and State ferry systems; and
WHEREAS, Kitsap Transit has developed the Sidney Landing project
that also encourages public access to the downtown waterfront;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD DOES
HERESY RESOLVE THAT:
The Sidney Landing project is a benefit to both the City
of Port Orchard and the South Kitsap community.
The City strongly supports Option A of the Sidney
Landing project and looks forward to its successful
completion.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, APPROVED by
the Mayor and attested by the Clerk in authentication of such passage this 12th
day of February, 1996.
