A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON
APPROVING TEMPORARY INSTALLATION OF A SIGN ON THE PUBLIC
RIGHT OF WAY - TREMONT STREET. (Matthew Randish,
applicant)
WHEREAS, Matthew Randish, owner of M & M Deli has submitted an
application to install a 30" X 30" Texaco Star sign on the Tremont Street public
right of way under the existing "Right Lane Must Turn Right" sign; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Randish conveyed that his objective of seeking
authorization to place this sign at the requested location is to alleviate
traffic flow and safety concerns; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did hold a public hearing on December 26,
1995 to receive testimony and public comment.
WHEREAS, based on the testimony and materials presented the City
Council does hereby conclude that installation of the sign design and placement
as presented would not be detrimental to the health, safety, morals and general
welfare of the community; and it is in the best interest of the community to
allow installation of the sign as requested by Harrison Hospital.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the Council of the City of Port
Orchard, Washington does hereby authorize installation of a temporary Texaco Star
sign on the Tremont Street Right of way under the existing "Right Lane Must Turn
Right" sign as requested by Matt Randish for a period of 9 months. At the end
of the nine month period the sign must be removed.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, SIGNED by the
Mayor and attested by the Clerk in authentication of such passage this 11th day
of March, 1996.
