A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO APPLY FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
BLOCK GRANTS.
WHEREAS, Community Development Block Grants are available within
Kitsap County to meet the needs of the citizens; and
WHEREAS, the City of Port Orchard is an eligible jurisdiction with
a population of low income families; and
WHEREAS, the City seeks to fulfill all the requirements of the
American With Disabilities Act in the construction of the new City Hall;
WHEREAS, the City seeks to improve the quality of life of its
citizenry by using all financial resources available;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE THAT:
The Mayor of the City of Port Orchard shall apply for Community
Development Block Grants to assist the community in the following project:
1. Providing an elevator and an electric lift for
the new City Hall.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, APPROVED
by the Mayor and attested by the Clerk in authentication of such passage this
9th day of September, 1996.
