A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON OF
THE INTENT TO ADOPT CERTAIN AMENDMENTS TO THE SHORELINE
MANAGEMENT PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the City of Port Orchard has adopted its Shoreline Management
Program in October, 1991 and has administered it since then; and
WHEREAS, the City of Port Orchard has proposed certain amendments to the
Shoreline Management Program; and
WHEREAS, the proposed amendments have received a declaration of
nonsignificance from the SEPA review process; and
WHEREAS, the City of Port Orchard held a public hearing on December 27,
1993 to review and discuss the proposed amendments;
THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD DOES HEREBY RESOLVE
THE FOLLOWING:
The following amendments, as described below, are adopted:
1. Page 40 (Exhibit A) is amended to clarify the height restrictions
when a building is constructed in the commercial development
category, over the water.
2. Page 36 (Exhibit B) is amended to clarify the height requirement for
boat houses.
3. Page 34 (Exhibit C) is amended to eliminate the prohibition of
utilities over Natural Areas.
The Exhibits A, B and C are the proposed new wording for the Shoreline
Management Program.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, APPROVED by the
Mayor and attested by the Clerk in authentication of such passage this loth day
of January, 1994. ,
