A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON
ESTABLISHING A PARKING PERMIT FOR CONTRACTORS.
WHEREAS, the City of Port Orchard regulates parking of vehicles along
public streets; and
WHEREAS, the City of Port Orchard enforces the Uniform Building Codes
within its jurisdictions; and
WHEREAS, at different times, it would benefit the community if a
contractor could park close to a particular job site to expedite construction
projects;
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PORT ORCHARD THAT:
1. The Public Works Department is authorized to
establish a parking permit to allow contractors
to park in excess of the time requirements within
the following constraints:
a. The construction parking permit will cost
$1.00 per day per parking space.
b. The permit will be valid only for spaces
designated on the permit, which are meant
to be as close as possible to the
construction site.
2. The specific rules will be prepared and
maintained by the Public Works Department and may
be changed or modified as deemed necessary by the
City Engineer.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, APPROVED by
the Mayor and attested by the Clerk in authentication -of such passage this 14th
day of February, 1994.
