A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO APPLY FOR
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANTS.
WHEREAS, Community Development Block grants are available within
Kitsap County to meet the needs of the citizens; and
WHEREAS, the City of Port Orchard is an eligible jurisdiction with
a population of low income families; and
WHEREAS, the City seeks to improve the quality of life of its
citizenry by using all financial resources available;
THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE THAT:
The Mayor of the City of Port Orchard shall apply for Community
Development Block grants to assist the community in the following projects:
1. Sherman Avenue Sewer: Providing sanitary sewer to the 1300
block of Sherman Avenue.
2. Central Playfield Restroom: Construct a new public restroom
at the Central Playfield.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, APPROVED
by the Mayor and attested by the Clerk in authentication of such passage this
loth of October 1994.
