A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON, FIXING THE DATE OF PUBLIC
HEARING ON A PETITION TO VACATE A PORTION
OF GUTHRIE STREET, LYING EAST OF SHERMAN
AVENUE, AS SUBMITTED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF
VETERANS AFFAIRS.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Orchard, Washington, as follows:
THAT a Public hearing on the petition for Vacation of a
portion of Guthrie Street, lying east of Sherman Avenue, further
described as follows, is hereby fixed for Monday, February 11, 1991
at 7:45 PM in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, 216 Prospect
Street, Port Orchard, Washington.
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: That portion of the south 30 feet
of Guthrie Street as dedicated in the Plat of Sidney
Villas Addition to Sidney, recorded in Volume 2 of
Plats, Page 46, records of Kitsap County, lying
easterly of the west line of Block 9 extended north,
westerly of the east line of Block 9 extended north,
and adjacent to the north line of Lot 1, Block 9;
situate in Kitsap County, Washington.
The aforesaid portion of Guthrie Street, lying east of
Sherman Avenue is thirty feet (30') wide and one hundred and
twenty-five (125') long containing approximately 3,750 square feet.
The Petitioner is the owner of an interest in real
estate abutting on the above described area.
The Petitioner constitute more than two-thirds of the
owners of said portions of abutting property.
WHEREFORE, Petitioner prays that proceedings be had
hereon for the Vacation of said area of said right-of-way in the
manner prescribed by RCW 35.79.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard,
APPROVED by the Mayor and attested by the Clerk in authentication of
such passage this 14th day of January, 1991.
