A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT
f ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, ESTABLISHING FEES
TO REQUEST VACATION OF PUBLIC RIGHT OF
WAY.
��a�f�� WHEREAS, the City of Port Orchard has undeveloped
/S. ight of way that may be of value to abutting property owners;
and
WHEREAS,the City may decide to vacate right of way if
that property will not be needed in the future; and
WHEREAS, The City of Port Orchard desires to
establish petition to vacate public right of way fees by
Resolution.
THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Port
Orchard hereby establishes the fees to process any petition to
vacate a right of way:
1. The petition to vacate a right of way shall be
accompanied by a petition fee of $100.00.
2. The petition to vacate a right of way shall be
accompanied by a certified check that provides for one-half the
cost of the value of the land. The value of the land will be
based on the following square foot valuations: Residential:
$1.50; Commercial: $10.00; Industrial: $10.00. In lieu of a
certified check based on the estimated values, the applicant may
submit a certified check based on an appraisal. The appraisal
must be included in the application. The City reserves the right
to accept or reject the submitted appraisal.
