A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE PUBLICATION OF A
LOCAL VOTER'S PAMPHLET BY KITSAP COUNTY
AUDITOR'S OFFICE.
WHEREAS, the Washington State Legislature has, by passage of
Chapter 29.81A RCW, empowered counties to adopt a Resolution authorizing
the publication of a local voter's pamphlet; and
WHEREAS, the legislative body of this district finds that
publication and distribution of a local voter's pamphlet will enhance
voter awareness and knowledge of local election issues;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the legislative body of this
district within Kitsap County, State of Washington as follows:
1. This district agrees to participate in the Kitsap County
local voter's pamphlet until such time as they notify the
County Auditor, by resolution, that they no longer wish to
participate.
2. That the costs of producing and distributing the local
voter's pamphlet will be apportioned out to this district
and all other participating districts in accordance with
RCW 29.13.045.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard,
APPROVED by the Mayor and attested by the Clerk in authentication of such
passage this 12th day of June, 1989.
