1516 - Resolution - Public Hearing on Vacating ROWRESOLUTION NO. 1516 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, FIXING THE DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON A PETITION TO VACATE THE NORTH 50 FEET OF THE WEST HALF OF SHORT AVENUE. BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, Washington, as follows: THAT a Public Hearing on the petition to Vacate approximately the north 50 feet of the west half of Short Avenue further described as follows, is hereby fixed for Monday, September 25, 1989 at 7:45 PM in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, 216 Prospect Street, Port Orchard, Washington. LEGAL DESCRIPTION: That portion of the west half of Short Avenue abutting Lot 1, Block 3 of Sroufe's Addition to Sidney, recorded in Volume 1 of Plats at pages 26, 27 and 28 in Kitsap County, Washington; EXCEPT the south 70 feet thereof; and EXCEPT that portion of said west half of Short Avenue lying more than 4.11 feet east of the easternmost corner of the building presently situated on said Lot 1 The aforesaid, approximately 50 feet portion, of the west half of Short Avenue is approximately thirty-three feet (33') wide and fifty feet (50') long containing approximately 1,650 square feet. The Petitioner is the owner of an interest in real estate abutting on the above described area. The Petitioner constitute more than two-thirds of the owners of said portions of abutting property. WHEREFORE, Petitioner prays that proceedings be had hereon for the Vacation of said area of said right-of-way in the manner prescribed by RCW 35.79, subject to approval of the Superior Court of the State of Washington for Kitsap County, Cause No. 87 4 00135 0. PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, APPROVED by the Mayor and attested by the Clerk in authentication of such passage this 9th day of October, 1989. �i& W&L' LESLIE J.
