A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON, ALLOWING FOR THE WAIVER OF
MONTHLY SEWER FEES OF CITY FACILITIES WHEN
THE WATER IS TURNED OFF.
WHEREAS, all water and sewer customers shall pay their fair
share of the operation and maintenance of the water/sewer utility; and
WHEREAS, the City operates seasonal facilities and closes
these facilities during the winter, and
WHEREAS, when a City owned and controlled facility is
closed, it does not use water or sewer service.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, THAT:
Monthly sewer charges will be adjusted to zero
when the water of a City owned and controlled
facility is turned off and closed for any period
longer than 30 days.
The sewer charges shall cease as of the first day
of the month following termination of water
service.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard,
APPROVED by the Mayor and attested by the Clerk in authentication of
such passage this 25th day of September, 1989.
