A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON AUTHORIZING USE OF FUNDS
DERIVED FROM SALE OF VACATED RIGHT OF WAY
FOR FUTURE PARK PROPERTY ACQUISITION.
WHEREAS, the City of Port Orchard strives to
provide parks and playgrounds for neighborhoods within the
City, and
WHEREAS, the City of Port Orchard does vacate and
sell surplused right of way, if it is in the best interest of
the City.
THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Port
Orchard does hereby resolve:
When right of way is approved for vacation by the
City Council, the Council shall decide if the funds derived
from the sale of the vacated right of way shall be dedicated
for future park acquisition.
These monies shall be accounted for under the
Current Expense Fund in the Designated Unreserved Fund
Balance Account.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port
Orchard, APPROVED by the Mayor and attested by the Clerk in
authentication of such passage this 28th day of November,
1988.
