A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD
AUTHORIZING INVESTMENT OF CITY MONIES IN THE
KITSAP COUNTY TREASURER'S INVESTMENT POOL.
WHEREAS, the City of Port Orchard periodically
has undistributed property tax receipts on deposit with the
Kitsap County Treasurer; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 36.2.9 RCW allows the City to
authorize the County Treasurer to invest monies on its behalf
in a pooled format; and
WHEREAS, investment of the City's undistributed
property tax receipts in the Kitsap County Treasurer's
Investment Pool has been determined to be in the best
interest of the City,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City
Council of the City of Port Orchard does hereby authorize the
deposit and withdrawal of City of Port Orchard monies in the
Kitsap County Treasurer's Investment Pool in accordance with
RCW 36.29.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the following City of
Port Orchard staff shall be authorized to order the deposit
in or withdrawal of monies from the Kitsap County Treasurer's
Investment Pool:
Kristine L. Miller, City Treasurer
Monica K. Haarstad, Assistant Treasurer
PASSED by the City Council of the City of
Port Orchard, APPROVED by the Mayor and attested by the
Clerk in authentication of such passage this 12th day of
December, 1988.
