A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO
CREATE A LOCAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT TO
EXTEND THE MUNICIPAL SEWER COLLECTION
SYSTEM FROM THE VICINITY OF 1125 BETHEL
ROAD TO THE VICINITY OF 2475 BETHEL ROAD
FOR A DISTANCE OF APPROXIMATELY 2,500
FEET, DECLARING THE ESTIMATED COST TO BE
APPROXIMATELY $150,000.00 PROVIDING THAT
THE COSTS SHALL BE PAID BY ASSESSMENTS
AGAINST THE PROPERTY OWNERS IN THE SUBJECT
AREA ALONG BETHEL AVENUE AND NOTIFYING ALL
PERSONS TO APPEAR AND PRESENT THEIR
OBJECTIONS AT A HEARING TO BE HELD BEFORE
THE PORT ORCHARD CITY COUNCIL ON DECEMBER
8, 1986 AT 8:00 PM.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Port
Orchard deems it advisable to initiate the formation of a
local improvement district to extend the municipal sewer
collection system from the vicinity of 1125 Bethel Road to
the vicinity of 2475 Bethel Road located in the City of Port
Orchard, as shown on Exhibit "A", attached hereto; such
improvement to consist of a new 8 inch sewer main, 6 inch
service connections, manholes and necessary road repairs and
it appearing that the estimated cost of such improvement is
approximately $150,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Port
Orchard deems it advisable to henceforth proceed following
the resolution method for formation of a Local Improvement
District and that property owners should receive notice of
the nature of the proposed improvement, the estimated costs,
the estimated benefits to each property owners particular
lot, tract or parcel, and the territorial extent of the
improvement and of a time and place for a hearing relative to
the formation of a Local Improvement District; now,
therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. It is the intention of the City of Port
Orchard to order the formation of a local improvement
district to extend the municipal sewer collection system from
the vicinity of 1125 Bethel Road to the vicinity of 2475
Bethel Road located in the City of Port Orchard, as shown on
Exhibit "A", attached hereto; such improvement to consist of
a new 8 inch sewer main, 6 inch service connections, manholes
and necessary road repairs and it appearing that the
estimated cost of such improvement is approximately
$150,000.00
Section 2. A hearing to hear all matters relating
to said proposed improvement and all objections thereto and
for determining the method of payment of the above -described
Local Improvement District is hereby fixed to be held on
December 8, 1986, at 8:00 PM, before the Port Orchard City
Council at the Port Orchard Council Chambers, City Hall, 216
Prospect Street, Port Orchard, WA.
