1318 - Resolution - Interchange at Tremont and State Highway 16RESOLUTION NO. 1318 v
WHEREAS, the City of Port Orchard has a great
concern for the safety of its citizens
and the traveling public; and
WHEREAS, the imminent construction of the Port
Orchard Bypass will increase the traffic
volume of the intersection of State
Highway 16 and Tremont Street; and
WHEREAS, the need for a modern interchange at SR16
is a necessity for the preservation of
vehicular and pedestrian safety.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City Council of
the City of Port Orchard requests the
highest priority from the State of
Washington Department of Transportation
for the construction of an interchange at
the intersection of Tremont Street and
State Highway 16.
