RESOLUTION NO. 1325
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT
ORCHARD SETTING PROCEDURES FOR THE
FORMING OF STANDING AND SPECIAL
COMMITTEES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE:
WHEREAS, the City Council is the legislative body
of the City, and
WHEREAS, the City Council is responsible for the
use of both Standing and Special Committees, if they so
desire:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Port Orchard, Washington,
THAT: the following procedures shall be fo.11owed
in the selection of a Appointive Committee and the appointment
of other committees as deemed necessary by the City Council:
(a) The Appointing Committee of the legislative
body (City Council) shall be the three (3)
senior members of the legislative body (City
Council) and shall make all appointments to
the respective needed standing committees
and special committees
(b) Those members of the legislative body shall
submit their desires to appointive committee
for their consid ration not later than the
first meeting of�the City Council in each
year. �mittee
(c) Appointed cmembers may be relieved
of commi'tt�e functions and duties by a
majority vote of the legislative body.
