A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD
FIXING HEARING RELATIVE TO INTENT TO
ESTABLISH LOCAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT FOR
IMPROVEMENTS OF THE WEST SIDE OF WEST
AVENUE FROM TREMONT STREET TO SOUTH STREET
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON AS FOLLOWS:
1. That it is the intention of the City Council to order
the improvement of the west side of West Avenue from
Tremont Street to South Street by constructing a
concrete sidewalk, concrete curb, storm drain, and
the necessary work in conjunction therewith; all in
accordance with plans to be prepared by the City
Engineer.
2. That it is proposed to create a Local Improvement
District to pay for the construction of such improvement.
The boundaries of such District are hereby specified
and described as follows, to -wit:
Block 6 of the Sidney Land Company Second Addition
as recorded in the Assessor's Office of Kitsap
County
3. That there be assessed that portion of the property
within such District approximately $16,000, the estimated
cost of construction, in accordance with RCW 35.44.047.
4. That all persons who may desire to object thereto are
hereby notified to appear and present such objections at
a public meeting of the City Council to be held in the
Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Port
Orchard, 7:30 P.M. in the 27th day of September, 1982,
which time and place are hereby fixed for hearing all
matters relating to said proposed improvement, and all
objections thereto, and for determining the method of
payment for said improvements.
5. That the City Engineer shall submit to the City Council
at or prior to said date, all data and information
required by law to be submitted.
6. That the cost and expense of said improvement shall be
borne by and assessed against the property liable therefor
as provided by law.
PASSED by the City Counicil and APPROVED by the
Mayor this 13th day of September, 1982.
