The following is a summary of an Ordinance approved by the Port Orchard City Council at their
regular Council meeting held February 8, 1999.
ORDINANCE NO. 1755
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1717 TO
CORRECT A SCRIVENER'S ERROR AND ADJUST THE
COMPLETION DATE FOR THE PRELIMINARY PLAT OF
GOLDEN POND SUBDIVISION. PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE
WEST SIDE OF POTTERY AVENUE, 400 FEET SOUTH' OF
MELCJHER TREET AND ADDRESSES CONSISTING OF
PROPERTIES AT 1280, 1290 AND 1330 POTTERY AVENUE.
Copies of Ordinance No. 1755 are available for review at the office of the City
Clerk of the City of Port Orchard. Upon written request a statement of the full text
of the Ordinance will be mailed to any interested person without charge. Thirty
days after publication, copies of Ordinance No. 1755 will be provided at a nominal
charge.

WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Port Orchard did hold a Public Hearing on April 8,
1996, and following the Public Hearing did adopt Ordinance No. 1652 with 34 conditions, approving
Preliminary Plat of Golden Pond Subdivision, and
WHEREAS, Chapter 24 of Ordinance No. 1702, the City's Subdivision Ordinance does
provide for authority for the City Council to approve a one year extension for a preliminary plat upon the
owner/developer showing that they have attempted in good faith to complete the requirements of the final
plat within the required three year period, and
WHEREAS, the City Council did authorize a one year extension for the Preliminary Plat of
Golden Pond on April 13, 1998 by adoption of Ordinance No. 1717, and
WHEREAS, due to a scrivener's error in Ordinance No 1717 the date for the expiration of
the one year extension was stated incorrectly, and it is the desire of the City Council to correct this error to
allow a full one year extension of the Preliminary Plat of Golden Pond, now therefore
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, DOES
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

That Ordinance No. 1717 shall be amended to read as follows:
That an extension of one year be granted to the Preliminary Plat of Golden Pond
Subdivision, to allow compliance with the 34 conditions as granted in Ordinance
No. 1652. Expiration date May 13, 2000.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, signed by the Mayor and
attested by the Clerk in authentication of such passage this 8th day of February, 1999.
