1773 - Ordinance - Repealing Ordinances 796 and 836 Designating Snow RoutesNOTICE OF CITY OF PORT ORCHARD ORDINANCE The following is a summary of an Ordinance approved by the Pork Orchard City Council at their regular Council meeting held November 8, 1999. ORDINANCE NO. 1773 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, DESIGNATING THE "SNOW ROUTE" FOR THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, PROHIBITING PARKING DURING PERIODS OF SNOW AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NOS. 796 AND 836. Copies of Ordinance No. 1773 are available for review at the office of the City Clerk of the City of Port Orchard. Upon written request a statement of the full text of the Ordinance will be mailed to any interested person without charge. Thirty days after publication, copies of Ordinance No. 1773 will be provided at a nominal charge. City of Port Orchard 11 W�Ozw Michelle Merlino Deputy Clerk Publish: Port Orchard Independent November 17, 1999 ORDINANCE NO. 1773 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON DESIGNATING THE "SNOW ROUTE" FOR THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, PROHIBITING PARKING DURING PERIODS OF SNOW AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NOS. 796 AND 836. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. 10.66.010 Established. A "snow route" is established in the City of Port Orchard for use during periods of snow or ice, as follows: (1) Kitsap Street from Bay Street to Seattle Avenue; (2) Seattle Avenue from Kitsap Street to Dwight Street; (3) Dwight Street from Seattle Avenue to Harrison Avenue; (4) Harrison Avenue from Dwight Street to Division Street; (5) Division Street from Harrison Avenue to Sidney Avenue; (6) Sidney Avenue from Division Street to Melcher Street, SECTION 2. 10.66.020 Signs Posted. The aforesaid "snow route" shall be posted, on both sides, of the street with signs at least two signs to a block, on each side of the street, indicating substantially as follows: "NO PARKING DURING SNOW. VIOLATORS WILL BE TOWED." SECTION 3. 10.66.030 Impounding vehicles. The Police Department of the City of Port Orchard is hereby authorized to impound any vehicle found parked on the aforesaid "snow route" during periods of snow. The owner or operator of said vehicle is required to pay all costs of impounding, including towing and storage. SECTION 4, 10.66.040 Violation a misdemeanor. Any person parking or leaving his/her vehicle on the "snow route" during periods of snow shall be guilt of a misdemeanor. SECTION 5. Validity. The invalidity or unconstitutionality of any provision or section of this ordinance shall not render any other provision or section of this ordinance invalid or unconstitutional. SECTION 6_. Repealer. Ordinance Nos. 796 and 836 are hereby repealed in their entirety. SECTION 7. Savings Clause.
