1684 - Ordinance - Emergency Amendments to Comp PlanORDINANCE NO. 1684 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON ADOPTING EMERGENCY AMENDMENTS TO THE UTILITIES ELEMENT OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN. WHEREAS, the City of Port Orchard seeks to be in compliance with the goals, policies, and procedures of the Growth Management Act, and WHEREAS, the City Council adopted a new Comprehensive Plan on the 12th of June 1995, and WHEREAS, the State Legislature amended the Revised Code of Washington in 1995 regarding the provision of urban services outside the urban growth boundaries when health emergencies exist, and WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the urgency under which certain properties need urban services, namely sewer and water, even though they are outside of the urban growth boundary, and WHEREAS, the City Council did hold a public hearing on July 14, 1997 to take testimony, review materials and consider all information presented regarding the emergency amendments to the Utilities Element, now, therefore, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS, THAT: The Council of the City of Port Orchard does hereby adopt emergency amendments to the Utilities Element of the Comprehensive Plan in order to provide urban services to limited areas outside of the urban growth boundary meeting health emergency criteria and to be consistent with the Revised Code of Washington. ORDINANCE NO. 1684 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON ADOPTING EMERGENCY AMENDMENTS TO THE UTILITIES ELEMENT OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN.
