AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON RELATING TO AND PROVIDING FOR
THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF
PORT ORCHARD.
WHEREAS, owners of the real property commonly known as Ross Point,
hereinafter described, according to the assessed valuation per general taxation, has petitioned the
Council of the City of Port Orchard that said territory be annexed to and become a part of the City
of Port Orchard; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did fix Monday, July 28, 1997 at the hour of 7:40 PM,
for the Public Hearing on said petition and the Clerk of the City of Port Orchard did give notice of
said hearing in the manner provided by law; and
WHEREAS, the City Council at their regular scheduled meeting on the 28th day of
July, 1997, did hold a hearing on said petition and unanimously approved the same;
WHEREAS, the Kitsap County Boundary Review Board, as required by law, has
been convened and has made the determination that it is in favor of the annexation of the area
hereinafter described, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. THAT the following described territory contiguous to the City of Port
Orchard be, and the same hereby is, annexed to the City of Port Orchard and from and after the
effective date of this ordinance, shall be and become a part of the City of Port Orchard, subject to
all the laws and ordinances thereof:

That portion of Government Lot 1 (Southwest Quarter Southwest Quarter) of Section 26,
Township 24 North, Range 1 East, W.M., in Kitsap County, Washington, Described as follows:
BEGINNING at the Southeast corner of said Government Lot 1;
THENCE North, along the East line of said Government Lot 1, to the Southerly right-of-way
margin of S.E. Bay Street (formerly SR-160);
THENCE Westerly, along said Southerly right-of-way margin, to an intersection with the
Southeasterly right-of-way margin of S.W. Wilkins Drive;
THENCE Southwesterly, along said Southeasterly right-of-way margin, to an intersection with the

ORDINANCE
The following is a summary of an Ordinance approved by the Port Orchard City
Council at their regular Council meeting held December 8, 1997.
ORDINANCE NO. 1691
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON
RELATING TO AND PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY
COMMONLY KNOWN AS ROSS POINT.
Copies of Ordinance No. 1691 are available for review at the office of the City
Clerk of the City of Port Orchard. Upon written request a statement of the full text
of the Ordinance will be mailed to any interested person without charge. Thirty
days after publication, copies of Ordinance No. 1691 will be provided at a nominal
charge.
