1645 - Ordinance - Pension and Compensation ProvisionsORDINANCE NO. 1645 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, PROVIDING FOR ENROLLMENT OF PORT ORCHARD POLICE RESERVE OFFICERS UNDER THE PENSION AND COMPENSATION PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 41.24, REVISED CODE OF WASHINGTON; AND PROVIDING THATTHE CITY SHALL PAYTHE CITY'S SHARE OF THE ANNUAL PENSION FEES UPON RECEIPT OF THE MEMBERS SHARE OF THE ANNUAL PENSION FEES. THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I Enrollment of the Police Reserve Officer Under Chapter 41.24, Revised Code of Washington. The City Clerk may enroll any member of the Port Orchard Police Reserve under the Relief and Compensation provisions of Chapter 41.24, Revised Code of Washington, for the purpose of providing a pension fund. Membership in the pension fund is optional and is the choice of each individual reserve officers. SECTION II. Provisions for payment of Necessary Fees. The fees necessary for the annual enrollment of each member of the Port Orchard Police Reserve Officers choosing to participate in the pension fund shall be paid by the City Treasurer from any funds available for that purpose. The members share of the annual pension fees for all reserve officers who choose to join the pension plan shall be the sole responsibility of the individual reserve officer. Procedures for collection of these fees will be established by the City Clerk.
