WHEREAS, on 14 September 1987 the City Council received a Notice of Intent to Petition for Annexation into the City of Port Orchard from Daniel and Barbara Case, etal. As a condition of acceptance of this annexation petition, the City Council is requiring the simultaneous adoption of a Comprehensive Plan Designation for the subject property, and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on 19 October 1987 and that the Planning Commission considered the findings of facts, the testimony and material presented at the hearing, and WHEREAS, this is a non -project action for the annexation of the property into the City and a comprehensive plan designation, and WHEREAS, The present County zoning for the property is R5-M11. The zoning designation for the property if it is annexed will be residential -low, which also allows 5 units per acre, and WHEREAS, A SEPA checklist has been submitted and received a declaration of non -significance. WE THEREFORE FIND: The Comprehensive Plan designation requested by the applicant is less dense than presently allowed by the County's Comprehensive Plan. The residential density will not be changed by the annexation of this property. CONCLUSION: Based on the findings of facts, the testimony and materials presented at the public hearing, we therefore conclude that a Comprehensive Plan designation of Multiple -Family 20, would be in harmony with the general purposes and intent of the zoning ordinance and comprehensive plan. BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission of the City of Port Orchard hereby respectfully requests that the City Council designate the above described property as Multiple -Family 20, simultaneously with the acceptance of the annexation petition.
