AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD
axd 133� I�� RELATING TO AND PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION
OF TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD
WHEREAS, Errol S. Dow, et al, owners of the real
property hereinafter described, according to the assessed
valuation per general taxation, has petitioned the Council
of the City of Port Orchard that said territory be annexed
to and become a part of the City of Port Orchard; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Review, as required by law,
has been convened and has made the determination that it is
in favor of the annexation of the area hereinafter described;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council did fix Monday, May 13,
1985 at the hour of 8:00 P.M., for the Public Hearing on said
petition and the Clerk of the City of Port Orchard did give
notice of said hearing in the manner provided by law; and
WHEREAS, the City Council at their regular scheduled
meeting on the 13th day of May, 1985, did hold a hearing on
said petition and unanimously approved the same;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT AND IT HEREBY IS ORDAINED BY
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, as follows:
SECTION 1. THAT the following described territory
contiguous to the City of Port Orchard be, and the same hereby
is, annexed to the City of Port Orchard and from and after the
effective date of this ordinance, shall be and become a part
of the City of Port Orchard, subject to all the laws and
ordinances thereof:
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Beginning at the Northwest
corner of Section 3, Township 23 North, Range 1
East, W.M., which is the True Point of Beginning:
Thence South along the West line of said Section 3,
1,400 feet, more or less, to the Southwest corner
of the Northwest quarter of the Northwest quarter
thereof; thence along the South line of the North
half of said Northwest quarter to the Southeast
corner of the Northeast quarter of the Northwest
quarter of said Section 3; thence continuing East,
along the South line of the North half of the North-
east quarter of said Section 3 a distance of 652.72
feet; thence N40*0'00" E 140 feet; thence S44*57'19.5"E
to the South line of the Northwest quarter of the
Northeast quarter; thence East to the east right-of-way
margin of SR16; thence Northwesterly along said margin,
to it's point of intersection with the West line of
the Southwest quarter of the Northeast quarter of
Section 34, Township 23 North, Range 1 East, W.M.,

thence South along said West line, to it's point
of intersection with the West right-of-way margin
of SR16; thence South, along the East line of the
Northeast quarter of the Southwest quarter, to the
Northeast corner of the South half of said Northeast
quarter of the Soutwest quarter; thence West, along
the North line of the last said subdivision, to
the Northwest corner thereof; thence South, along
the West line of said subdivision, to the Southwest
corner thereof; thence East, along the South line
of said subdivision, to the Southeast corner thereof;
thence South, along the East line of the Southeast
quarter of the Southwest quarter of said Section 34,
the Northeast corner of the Northwest quarter of
Section 3, Township 23, Range 1 East, W.M.; thence
West, along the North line of said Northwest quarter,
to the True Point of Beginning.
Situated in Kitsap County, Washington
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port
Orchard and APPROVED by the Mayor this 13th day of May, 1985.
