1274 - Ordinance - Condemnation of Parcels for Construction of Port Orchard By-PassORDINANCE NO. 1274 AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THE NEED FOR CONDEMNATION OF PARCELS OF LAND IN AND THROUGH CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTING THE PORT ORCHARD BY-PASS THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That for the public health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the City of Port Orchard, said city has entered into a project to construct the Port Orchard By -Pass and has caused to be prepared general and specific plans therefor. Section 2. To accomplish the said project, it is necessary to acquire a portion of the real property and permanent slope easement described on Exhibit A, incorporated herein. Section 3. The City Attorney is hereby authorized and directed to proceed immediately with the condemnation of the above -described property in the Superior Court for the State of Washington at Kitsap County. Section 4. The subject property will by paid for in part through use of general funds of the city, and through federal and state grant loans.
