AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO AND PROVIDING
FOR THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY TO THE
CITY OF PORT ORCHARD
WHEREAS, RCW 35.13.180 does provide that Third
Class Cities may by a majority vote annex new territory
outside the City limits, whether contiguous or non-
contiguous for park, cemetery or other municipal purposes
when such territory is owned by the City or all of the
owners of the real property in the territory give their
consent to the annexation; and
WHEREAS, the territory proposed to be annexed is
as follows: South half of the Southwest quarter, Section
34, Township 24 North, Range 1 East, W.M.; and
WHEREAS, the owners of that property lying within
the territory being annexed have given their consent to the
annexation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Port
Orchard has in accordance with RCW 35.18.186 voted
unanimously to annex subject territory into the City; and
WHEREAS, said territory is being and will continue
to be used for municipal purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it and it hereby is ordained
by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard as follows:
SECTION 1. THAT the above described territory
owned by the City of Port Orchard and others hereby is
annexed to the City of Port Orchard and from and after the
effective date of this ordinance, shall be and become subject
to all Laws and Ordinances thereof.
PASSED by the City Council and APPROVED by the
Mayor of the City of Port Orchard this 13th day of August,
1984.
