AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO AND PROVIDING FOR THE
ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD
WHEREAS, First Christian Church/Marshall D. Beach and
Grenda L. Beach, owners of the real property hereinafter described,
according to the assessed valuation per general taxation, has
petitioned the Counicl of the City of Port Orchard that said
territory be annexed to and become a part of the City of Port
Orchard; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Review, as required by law, has
been convened and has made the determination that it is in favor
of the annexation of the area hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did fix Tuesday, November
13, 1984 at the hour of 8:00 p.m., for the Public Hearing on
said petition and the Clerk of the City of Port Orchard did give
notice of said hearing in the manner provided by law; and
WHEREAS, the City Council at their regularly scheduled
meeting on the 13th day of November, 1984 did hold a hearing on
said petition and unanimously approved the same;
NOW, THERFORE, BE IT, AND IT HEREBY IS, ORDAINED BY THE
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, as follows:
SECTION 1. That the following described territory
contiguous to the City of Port Orchard be, and the same hereby is,
annexed to the City of Port Orchard and from and after the
effective date of this Ordinance, shall be and become a part of
the City of Port Orchard, subject to all the laws and ordinances
thereof, the said territory being more particularly described as
follows:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of Section 11,
township 23 North range 1 East, W.M. situate in
Kitsap County, State of Washington, thence East
30 feet to Easterly boundary of Sidney Road, SW,
and the true point of beginning, thence East
827.29 feet along the North line of said section
11 to the Northeast corner of the parcel deeded
to Marshall David Beach and Grenda L. Beach per
document recorded under Auditor's file number
1092228, thence South along the East boundary of
said parcel to Northerly boundary of county road
right-of-way known as SW Hovde Road thence North-
westerly along said Northerly boundary of SW
Hovde Road to its intersection with the Easterly
boundary of Sidney Road SW, thence North along
said Easterly boundary of Sidney Road SW, a
distance of 293.41 feet to the true point of
beginning.
PASSED by the City Council and APPROVED by the Mayor
of the City of Port Orchard, Washington this 13th day of November,
1984.
