HUMANE SOCIETY - APPOINTED IMPOUNDING
AUTHORITY (PORT ORCHARD MUNICIPAL
CODE CHAPTER 1.08) PROVIDING FOR
FUR, FIN AND FEATHERS SOCIETY, A
NON-PROFIT CORPORATION
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. THAT Port Orchard Municipal Code
Section 7.08.010 be amended to read as follows:
7.08.010 KITSAP COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY - APPOINTED
IMPOUNDING AUTHORITY. The Kitsap County Humane Society,
a corporation existing under RCW 16.52.020, is appointed
as agent of the Port. Orchard Police Department, and shall
henceforth he, and is, designated the official impounding
authority for the City, EXCEPT the Fur, Fin and Feathers
Society, a Washington non-profit corporation designated
as a kennel, shall be under the exclusive control and
operations of the City Council of the City of Port Orchard.
