ORDINANCE NO. 1236"
AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO AND PROVIDING
FOR THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY TO THE
CITY OF PORT ORCHARD
WHEREAS, RCW 35.13.180 does provide for
annexation of territory contiguous or non-contiguous to
city limits when such territory is owned by the city and
is to be for municipal use; and
WHEREAS, the City of Port Orchard does own
territory as described in attached Exhibits A and B; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Port
Orchard has in accordance with RCW 35.13.180 voted unanimously
to annex subject territory into the city limits; and
WHEREAS, said territory is to be site of City of
Port Orchard/Kitsap County Sewer District No. 5 Wastewater
Treatment Facilties.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it, and it hereby is ordained
by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard as follows:
Section 1. THAT the hereinafter described territory
owned by the City of Port Orchard hereby is annexed to the
City of Port Orchard and from and after the effective date
of this ordinance, shall be and become subject to all Laws
and Ordinances thereof, t.'ie said territory being more
particularly defined in attached Exhibit A and Exhibit B.
PASSED by the City Council and APPROVED by the
Mayor this 25th day of July, 1983.
