AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1054 S5 AND
ORDINANCE NO. 1047 S8 SETTING FORTH
PENALTIES FOR DELINQUENT PARKING VIOLATION
CITATIONS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 1054 S5 and Ordinance
No. 1047 S8 are amended to read as follows:
Section 8. ISSUANCE OF CITATION. It shall be the
,naILP duty of each police officer to take the number of any
87 meter and the location of non -metered spaces at
C711d which any vehicle is over parked, as provided
in this Chapter; the State vehicle license of such
vehicle; the time and date of such over -time parking,
and the make of such vehicle; and issue, in writing,
a citation for illegal parking.
Section 8.1 PENALTIES FOR DELINQUENT PARKING
VIOLATION CITATIONS. Any operator or owner of a
vehicle to whom a citation has been issued may,
within seven (7) days of the time of issuance of
said citation, pay to the Clerk of the Municipal
Court as penalty for and in full satisfaction of
such violation, the sum of Two Dollars ($2.00).
The failure of such owner or operator to make
such payment within said seven (7) days shall
render such owner or operator subject to an
additional late penalty charge of Five Dollars
($5.00) for violation of the provisions of this
Chapter.
