JUSTIFICATION
The asphalt pavement adjacent to project site is showing significant degradation and has the potential to

negatively impact the newt installed asphalt pavement for the project. In addition, the asphalt pavement

does not extend to the edge of the project extents to the north, which would create a varying landscape

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
The removal and disposal of the existing asphalt pavement and the preparation, installation, and sealing
of 1,450 square feet of new asphalt pavement.
MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT
Due p to increases of asphalt prices the change order is proposed as a lump sum and not an extension of
unit prices. An additional line item of CCO-01 is being added for the purposed of this change.

I thought for sure that Mrs. Schnitzer was going to pick up the additional paving. I can remove and replace an additional
1450 SF of asphalt for the following costs:
Remove and haul away asphalt $2.20 SF 1450 $3,190.00
Install new paving including tack coat and prep work $5.00 SF 1450 $71250.00
